If your wemo device is blinking orange its because the wemo device cant connect to your wifi network. You should have at least two bars of wi fi signal on your mobile device for the wemo to work properly.

Wemo not connecting to wifi. Obstructions like walls cabinets and doors may interfere with your wi fi connectivity. If this happened during the setup process make sure that you introduced your wifi credentials properly. Wemo may have difficulties connecting and maintaining a connection to it. Go to your mobile phones settings and connect it to wemos wifi access point go to the wemo app and itll automatically detect the device and start the setup process enter your wifis password and the app will automatically connect the device to your network. Wemo will fail to connect to your network if your wireless password contains any spaces or symbols in it. The wemo app crashes after and there is a 15 20 second delay on green screen after entering the wi fi password and tapping join.
