Timing set too far retarded the engine ran a lot hotter. I also had louvers punched into the inner fenders.

Removing heat from engine bay. That is a good idea. Modern computational flow dynamics have also resulted in impellers. Also after ac switched off within 1 min i can fell the heat. One thing im also very likely to do is cut ports or vents into the undercarriage plastic to allow for the heat to escape from the bottom of the car as well. If youre able to remove any of the sealing strip outside air will enter the engine bay and flow downwards under the car sucking heat along with it. Metal plastic parts in the air intake system absorb heat from the surrounding area the intake runnersplenum are bolted to the engine so heat is conducted from the heads 240f to them they are cooled by transfering heat to the incoming air flowing thru them plus most throttle bodies have coolant flowing around them to help with warmup.
The issue is that with ac on i am not getting enough cooling. Advertisement heat wrapping your up pipe and headers will allow for faster spool keeping heat in the exhaust more better for goin fast cooler temps in the engine bay and it can protect your headersup pipe from corrosion. This worked well on my tr8 turbo. I checked the ac and it is doing good. Heat tapes are used to keep heat inside the exhaust components instead of just letting it soak out in to the engine bay. The main problem is the fans are moving so much air it is getting trapped in the engine bay and heating everything up.
Since it is aluminum the pump removes a little weight from the engine and even works to dissipate more heat than cast iron. Ive also noticed that heat soak and by association some loss of power occurs only when the sun is out so if there were an effective way of allowing the engine bay to breathe itd surely help the issue quite a bit. It does have a bbc water pump conversion that allows me to be able to remove the fan belt between the water pump hub and the electric fan motor. I have shown this issue to the maruti service station and they told me that a bush which was separating the engine bay from the body was having the issue and they have replaced it. Also i found out that if i had the ign. Seems to help cooling at idle.
Remove the weatherstripping at the rear of the engine compartment that seals the hood to the firewall area.
