E street heads with roller cam. Apparently these limits have no margin of error. Performer power packages idle to 5500 rpm. Pressure needs to come up a lot faster than that for an aggressive hydro roller like the xr series. They are available for popular v8 engines. The e street heads are not smog legal as the performer heads are. Dave said the e street head springs are compatable with hyd roller cams.
The e street cylinder heads have never been condoned by edelbrock to change the springs for a hydraulic roller another reason is the valves in the e street heads are a little heavier than the performer valves and the valve seats are different also so its not just as easy to change the valves springs more involved then just springs. The limitations are the 550 lift and 5500 rpm. The e street 185 heads featured 185cc intake ports a 202160 valve combination and a modern 64cc combustion chamber design to maximize performance. E street heads are designed for high performance street applications with hydraulic flat tappet camshafts and feature larger than stock intake and exhaust ports to improve engine efficiency. The e street heads have 146 diameter springs with 120 on the seat which is in the ballpark for a street hydro roller but you have to get them to almost 580 lift before they get over 300 pressure. The seat pressure is 125 max lift pressure 325 and installed height is 175.
