I have this very issue my router is an apple time capsule and i am using an apple tv. Apple tv 4k shows no response in apple home app.

Apple homekit no response. Tap on your profile your name at the top. Then tap the top of homepod. On your apple tv go to settings accounts icloud and make sure that your apple tv shows homekit as connected. Make sure youre logged into your icloud account and that home is enabled open settings. There would be an occasional no response in the home app or from siri but those were usually temporary. The sensors on each side of the door are wired and there arent any batteries in them nor are there any on the wall panel. If homepod cant connect to your home wi fi network access your apple id or theres.
Check your wi fi. Homekit no response frustrations i have been using homekit fairly successfully for about a year. Works for about 10 minutes then becomes no response in the homekit app. If you dont see homekit then your apple tv isnt connected as a home hub. Restart your apple tv ipad and iphone.
