Enable the internet connection go to connection settings select custom method and then select the wireless option. Select settingsnetwork settings on the xmb and click the x button.

How to setup internet on ps3. Press the x button to bring up the menu. Step 1 power on your system. Turn on your modem and router. Turn off all your network equipment modem and router as well as the playstation 3. Scroll to the left until you reach the second icon. Make sure that your wireless router is connected to the internet and broadcasting a signal.
Select settings network. Confirm that an ethernet cable is not connected to the ps3 system. Two options will appear regarding wired and wireless connection and if you have a router choose the wireless option. Now go to settings in your ps3 and select the network settings option. Turn on your modem and router. Now scan for any access points go through and set all the settings according to your router.
Once it is switched on click on the settings option from there go to network settings option and then click on internet connection settings. Leave all equipment off for two full minutes.
